Our troop 783 will be going to fabulous camp Chawanakee Boy Scout Camp on Shaver Lake. Camp Chawanakee offers opportunities for Scouts to develop their unit and personal programs in a concentrated week-long full-time scouting achievement environment. There is the Trail to First Class program for new and junior scouts as well as the opportunity for Scouts to earn their choice of over 40 merit badges. For the more accomplished Scouts there are the Trails of Chawanakee, The climbing tower, the COPE Course and overnight adventure outings.
For this coming 2009 CSC, we are forming a Chawanakee Summer Camp Committee (CSCC) to plan this exciting event. Our committee consists of:

In addition to our committee, we have Elaine Chen who volunteered her time and service to help us collecting all medical and consent forms required by the Sequoia Council camp and we really appreciate that.

The 2009 CSC will take place from August 2 through August 8, 2009.
Important notice: The 1st nonrefundable Deposit of $75.00 is due with the sign up.
Like last year, we will be collecting the summer camp fees in 3 installments, it is safe to guest estimate at $480.00 per scout and half of that amount per adult ($240.00) The deadlines for collection are:
1st payment $75.00 due with the sign up
2nd payment $125.00 due 3/10/09
3rd and final payment $280.00 (or TBD) due June 1st, 2009.
