Summer Camp 2006 will be at Camp Chawanakee from
July 30 - August 5th. We will be staying in the Mono and Yuma campsites
just like the 2005 Summer Camp. We are estimating a total of
70 Scouts and
9 Adults will be in attendance this year forming many patrols. Adults
are encouraged to bring their own tents to be sure there are enough
tents for the scouts. Any left over tents can be occupied by adults.
Adults that can stay the entire week are only allowed to attend.
Signup sheets will be at the Tuesday night Troop
Meetings. Please sign up quickly as space will be limited. Also,
determine which merit badges you would like to work on as they are also
filling up fast. Email Mr. Winkler
with your merit badge list and session times so he can get you
registered as early as possible. Please note that many merit badges have
prerequisites that MUST be completed before you arrive at summer camp.
Bring all your work to show you have completed the prerequisites to
summer camp with you. Also, most merit badges have a cost. Please be
sure you have enough cash with you to pay for the merit badge classes as
well as items from the trading post and postage to write home.
The fee for Summer Camp this year is $TBD per Scout
and Adult. Please submit your checks payable to Troop 783 to ensure your
spot at Summer Camp. Scouts that fully pay first will take priority over
Scouts that wait until the last minute. PLEASE NOTE: Get your
merit badge list and sessions into Mr. Winkler ASAP to be registration.
